SATRO through the ages

1934

11th November 1934:  "Milchwerk Lippstadt" is founded.

Production task: drying milk surpluses
Taken over by the procurement and sales cooperative
 "Westfälischer Molkereien in Münster".

1937

Participation in the "World Dairy Congress"
"Lippstadt Model" for the use of leftover milk internationally esteemed

1942

Foundation of the Haldern branch for roller drying

from 1945

Production of lactose, whey protein, milk minerals and drinks with a whey base to treat symptoms of nutrient deficiency

1950

First spraying tower, TAG brand
Development of SATRO calf milk
 "Dried milk from Lippstadt" has now become a mark of quality across Germany

1967

Two further spray drying towers come into operation

1969

Development of the first cocoa drink for vending machines

1970

Expansion of the product portfolio to include combination products for the food industry.
Development of the first lump-free sauce thickener

1989

Development of the first convenient Family Cappuccino with a fine hint of cocoa

1997

Construction of a modern high-bay warehouse

2000

New vending brand: SATRO QUALITY DRINKS

2003

Integration into Humana Milchunion eG

2004

Name changed to SATRO GmbH

2007

Integration of SATRO GmbH into Campina BV

2008

SATRO GmbH becomes part of Royal FrieslandCampina

2009
